Our 10-week beginner programme is designed to introduce children aged 5–15 to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a fun, structured, and supportive environment. After completing the course, children will be ready to integrate confidently into our regular kids classes.

1. What age group is the Kids Beginner Package for?
The programme is designed for children aged 5 to 15, and we group them by age and ability to ensure the sessions are safe, fun, and appropriately challenging.
2. When does the course start, and how often are the sessions?
The course starts on Monday, 16th June, and runs for 10 weeks, with two sessions per week lasting around 60 minutes.
3. Does my child need a uniform?
Although a uniform is not required to start, we recommend purchasing one when transitioning to regular kids' classes.
4. Is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu safe for children?
Yes. All sessions are run by experienced, DBS-checked instructors. Techniques are taught with an emphasis on safety, discipline, and respect. There is no striking in BJJ, and we use age-appropriate drills and games to teach self-defence.
5. What happens after the 10-week course?
Children who complete the course will be ready to confidently join our regular kids BJJ classes, where they can continue their training and begin working toward belts.
6. What should my child wear to the first session?
Comfortable sportswear like a T-shirt and jogging bottoms or leggings. Please avoid zips, buttons, or jewellery.
7. How do I pay for the course?
We accept payment via bank transfer, PayPal, or cash in person. Full payment is required before the first session to secure your child’s place.
8. What if my child misses a session?
We understand that life happens! While we don’t offer refunds for missed classes, we try to offer make-up sessions when possible, depending on space.
9. Can I stay and watch the class?
Parents are welcome to watch the first session. After that, we encourage children to build independence while we maintain a safe and supportive environment.
