Fire Safety & Emergency Procedures
Welcome to Ground Control BJJ At Ground Control BJJ, the safety of our members, staff, and visitors is our top priority. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our fire safety and emergency procedures to ensure a safe training environment for everyone.
🔥 Fire Assembly Point:
All individuals must evacuate immediately and proceed to the entrance of the car park.
🚪 Fire Exits:
- Main Entrance Door – The primary entrance.
- Secondary Exit (Main Room) – Stairs leading down to the car park.
🔥 What to Do If You Discover a Fire:
- Raise the Alarm – Activate the nearest fire alarm.
- Inform Staff – Notify an instructor or staff member.
- If Safe, Contain the Fire – Only if trained to do so.
🚨 If the Fire Alarm Sounds:
- Stop all activities immediately.
- Evacuate via the nearest fire exit.
- Do not collect personal belongings.
- Proceed to the fire assembly point.
- Instructors will conduct a roll call.
👨🏫 Staff Responsibilities:
- Guide everyone to the fire exits.
- Ensure all areas are evacuated.
- Call 999 and report the fire.
👥 Member & Visitor Responsibilities:
- Follow all staff instructions.
- Evacuate quickly and calmly.
- Do not re-enter until permitted by emergency services.
🔥 Fire Safety Equipment:
- Fire extinguishers and alarm call points are installed throughout the facility.
- Fire exits must remain unobstructed.
